Learning Targets

Learning targets provide a shared understanding of a lesson’s essential outcomes. Targets give students tools to become more engaged, reflective and empowered. Each classroom provides an "I can" statement sharing today's learning expectations with the students.

RAIL time

RAIL time

RAIL Time is a time within the school day to provide all learners the opportunity to receive intentional instruction.  During RAIL Time, students may be working independently, with an adult or in a small group led by a teacher.

Through science, technology, engineering and math, students experience hands-on activities. 

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality

At the secondary, students can to experience historical sites, museums, and hundreds of field trips through virtual reality glasses.  This is a great way to interact with the environments that are learning about!

Small Group Instruction

Small Group Instruction

In the elementary classrooms, small-group reading lessons provide targeted, differentiated reading instruction. Being a Reader  provides the teacher a guide to instruct readers in phonological awareness, concepts of print, phonics, decoding, high-frequency word recognition, and comprehension.
