2023 School Board Committees Chart

Committee: Finance

Members: Parmeter, Pocrnich, and Shelton 


The Finance Committee will address issues that are key to the financial welfare of the District. Two to three Board members will serve on this committee, which will be chaired by Business Manager, Steve Anderson. Meetings will be held at a time and date set by the membership. Committee responsibilities will focus on the following tasks:

  • Budget Monitoring and Adjustment

  • Negotiations and Contract Cost Analysis

  • Building Design and Bid Document Review

  • Appraisal and Record-Keeping of Fixed Assets

  • Annual Audit Examination

  • Comparable Worth Review

Committee: Curriculum and Instruction

Members: Peterson, Pocrnich, and Podgornik

The C&I Committee will focus on the pre-K -12 educational program provided by the Proctor Public Schools. The representation will consist of two to three Board members and be chaired by a designated building principal. Meetings will be held at a time and date set by the membership. Members will provide representation and collectively monitor the activities of the following subcommittees:

  • Graduation Standards and System Accountability Report

  • Special Education Cooperative Board

  • Community and Family Education

  • Media/Technology

  • Curriculum Development and Review

Committee: Operations

Members: McDonald, Peterson, and Ward  -  Alternate: Shelton

The Operations Committee will lend representation to a variety of established subcommittees and collectively review their identified goals. Membership will consist of two to three Board members and the Superintendent of Schools. Meetings will be held at a time and date set by the membership. The committee’s focus will be on the following tasks:

  • Board Policy Development

  • Job Description Review

  • Contract Language Administration (e.g. Grievances, proposed language changes, etc.)

  • Food Service

  • Transportation
