We are aware that the current deployment involving members of the 148th Fighter Wing is affecting students and families throughout our region, including members of our Proctor Public Schools community.
The men and women who serve our country are heroes, and we are incredibly grateful for their service and sacrifice. We also recognize that the families who remain at home during a deployment are heroes, too. Spouses, children, parents, and loved ones carry their own sacrifices, worries, and responsibilities while someone they love is serving away from home.
For our students, having a parent or loved one deployed can bring many different emotions and challenges. As a school district, we want our military-connected students and families to know that you are not alone, and we are here to support you.
If your family is affected by this deployment, please reach out and let us know. Even if your student seems to be doing well, knowing about the deployment allows our staff to be more aware, understanding, and responsive should your child need some additional encouragement or support in the weeks and months ahead. We also want to help connect families with resources and assistance whenever we can.

Informational Sessions for Potential School Board Candidates
Are you considering running for the Proctor Public Schools Board of Education but have questions about the process or the responsibilities involved?
Superintendent Tim Rohweder will host two informational Q&A sessions for individuals seeking more details about entering the ballot for the upcoming November election. Prospective candidates are encouraged to attend either of the following sessions:
Wednesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. – Aspirus St. Luke's Event Center, Proctor
Thursday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m. – Pike Lake Elementary Library
There are four open seats in this year's election cycle. Please note that the candidate filing deadline is July 28.

NO RAILSTV SCHOOL BOARD BROADCAST TONIGHT
Due to the PHS Choir concert broadcast happening at the same time as the school board meeting and with many RailsTV students participating in the Choir concert tonight, RailsTV will not be broadcasting the regular school board meeting for Proctor Public Schools also scheduled for this evening. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you wish to attend the meeting in person, it will be held at 7pm in the high school library on the second floor at 131 9th Ave, Proctor, MN 55810.
