A transformation happening inside Proctor High School is making way for a new approach to thinking about and planning our academic careers.  It’s called Proctor Pathways  - and it’s just the ticket to exploring and aligning students’ interests with future career and education opportunities.  The philosophy behind Pathways Program is, “Why just plan to graduate when you can graduate with a plan.”

A Pathway is a series of experiences within our courses we can take to be more prepared for further study, training, or work opportunities within a specific career field. It allows students to job shadow, learn from guest speakers, and work with actual companies on real projects while fulfilling graduation requirements.  By partnering with local organizations, these four Proctor Pathways are tightly linked to in-demand local and national careers,

This week Pathways sponsored two career fairs at our high school, and we are opening our Boxcar Thrift Store on Tuesday! The Boxcar is a store run by students in our business classes, and our construction students constructed the store.  The Boxcar is located across the hall from our high school office.  Students will have the opportunity to shop for some free items on Tuesday.  All of the items were donated, and our major sponsor is Maurices.  Check out the WDIO news feature story that aired on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
